I love being able to freeze this sweet time in life for my family! Babies just don’t keep, and it goes by too fast! This session didn’t go exactly as planned… We wanted to get some photos of just him by himself with a backdrop… and we were hoping he would love the cake… but his boy LOVES to be held!! So sitting by himself for the cake photos was not his favorite! And the cake made him sick! π But thankfully my sister thought to play Ms. Rachel for him, & she saved the day!! 
I think he smiled for .20 seconds with his cake, and we caught it!! 
The last photo would be the most accurate representation of our efforts with the backdrop!
Also, this is another reason why I love to incorporate the whole family into a 1 year session! Because 1 year olds are SO happy surrounded by the people who love them! And to me, it’s way more special to have the family in the photographs too! π So meaningful and such a sweet memory!
